Thanks Ikea for the extra parts….

There was a going out of business sale in a shop down the street from my gym. They had a bunch of stuff strewed out on the side walk like a yard sale or when an angry couple breaks up. I ended up getting a chair and a book shelf. With this economy I might be able to furnish a whole house soon enough. The book shelf is nice; it’s from Ikea which means it has the home boy lean (it’s slightly angled to the right). I feel the lean might have something to do with all the extra parts they graciously provided.

Douche of the Day: Spiderman

Wow, so apparently a Spiderman musical opened on February 18. Has he not disappointed us enough that web slinging bastard? The Flash doesn’t have a musical, neither does Superman and in turn they’re allowed to wear tights and we won’t question their sexuality. Pull it together.

Top 5 things bought at Ikea:

5. A bed: nothing says bachelor like having storage shelves underneath your mattress. Also how big are the Swedes, because what they call a Queen size is a double at best.

4. Dishes: With the funky colors and strange shapes they make any cupboard look funky and new age. And now you can enjoy your hamburger helper off a triangle shaped plate.

3. Swedish Meatballs: The Ikea restaurant, you have to eat there because you won’t find your way out of that place for a couple of hours.

2. Lamps: Ikea is famous for selling you a lamp that will heat up like a Bunsen burner. I’ve burnt my fingers on more Ikea lamps while trying to make shadow puppets than I would care to admit.
